Their simple acts of kindness, courage, and support through their work, recreation or volunteering underpin Albany’s strong community spirit and make it a better place to live.

The Australia Day Community Citizen of the Year Awards 2021 are a chance to recognise these individuals and organisations for their outstanding contributions.

Accompanying the Australia Day Community Citizen of the Year Awards is the Australian Citizenship Ceremony.

Citizenship is the common bond uniting all Australians, whether you are an Australian by birth or by choice.

An Australian citizenship affirmation ceremony allows all Australians an opportunity to publicly affirm their commitment and loyalty to Australia.
