Presented by Albany Sinfonia
Under the musical direction of conductor Kathryn MacNeil, Albany Sinfonia presents a program of Baroque and Classical chamber and orchestral music to celebrate our "breakout" from isolation.
After an extended period of closure due to COVID-19, the orchestra is pleased to present an enjoyable program featuring local soloists, Alan Burnfield (clarinet) performing the slow movement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, and Preston Clifton (cello) playing the Vivaldi Cello Concerto in C, amongst an array of woodwind and string trios, quintets, and concerto grossi.
To celebrate our reunion, we conclude our program with Haydn's London Symphony, a joyous orchestral work filled with memorable melodies, enchanting episodes and tempestuous tunes, to leave you wanting more well-deserved musical experiences with our orchestra.
As the Great Southern Region's only symphony orchestra, Albany Sinfonia is your local orchestra, so don't miss the chance to support our local music industry with this wonderful opportunity to enjoy classical music with the whole family!
