Presented by Albany Contemporary Dance
Choreographer Sym Parr with dancers of the Great Southern and further afield create an immersive woollen experience exploring the history of wool in Albany.
Inspired by the old Albany Woollen Mill, the presences and ghosts of the past, dance to the innovative music of local sound artist James Gentle. He weaves the narratives, stories and samples of the outdoor site into this contemporary dance performance. Local and historical textiles created by wool artisans will entwine the dancers and adorn the site.
Patrons are encouraged to take the free bus that will leave from Albany Entertainment Centre at 6pm and returns at 8.45pm on both performance nights. The bus is a free service. Parking is limited on site to 15 car bays only. These must be booked when purchasing your ticket. Should you wish to book a car bay your must call the Box Office (08) 9844 5005 in order to hold your bay.
Note: This performance is held in a rural location and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Please phone the Box Office (08) 9844 5005 for possible alternative arrangements. The performance requires audience members to walk through terrain so we therefore suggest wearing appropriate footwear and warm clothing.
