Presented by Perth Theatre Trust and Comedy Lounge

The Comedy Lounge returns to Downstairs at The Maj.

Each show features a carefully selected line-up of comedians from Australia and around the world guaranteed to have you laughing all night long. This is Perth comedy at its finest.

Friday 1 September 2018 line up:

Georgie Carroll

Born and raised in Manchester, England; now a proud Australian. Georgie Carroll is a Comedian, Nurse, Wife and mother. Georgie has been blowing the roof off the Australian Comedy club circuit since 2012, fine tuning her talent to become the world class comic, MC and writer she now is. Georgie has now embarked on a TV career, starting at the very top as a regular panelist on Channel 10s ”Have You Been Paying Attention?”

Werzel Montague

Werzel Montague started doing open mike comedy spots at the Laugh Resort Comedy Club at Pockets on Lake St in 1994.

He was funny, then very funny, then hilarious, then sucked, then funny again, then really funny, then turned professional in 1995 and kept going. He’s managed to eat pretty well since, so it’s obviously going ok.

He has played in comedy festivals, elegant theatres, country pubs, smokey New York basements, and more than a few tin sheds in the desert and rocked the roof off each.

He once died horribly in front of a very angry crowd of Rugby Union fans. Apparently they think it’s a real game.

Jon Pinder

Our favourite comic at the Lounge, Jon Pinder's a RAW Comedy national finalist, tattooist and looks like a reject from an Oasis tribute band.

David Tuffley

Kel Balnaves is a skilled MC and headline performer touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian onboard P&O Cruise ships.
