Join Black Swan State Theatre Company in the Health Ledger Foyer for our first panel discussion of 2019.
Our latest production, 'You Know We Belong Together' has been highlighted as best practice in terms of disability and access in the arts. It’s a deeply personal account of Julia Hales’ experiences as a daughter, actor, dreamer and person with Down syndrome.
This co-production with DAADA, Perth Festival and Black Swan brings to the forefront the voices and aspirations of a community rarely seen on stage.
We have put together a panel of game-changes in our community to discuss why Inclusive Practise is Better for Everyone.
The panel will be hosted by Simone Flavelle, (Digital Producer with DAADA) alongside Zara Fisher (Vice President of Heath Safety and Environment of Rio Tinto) and Fiona Monahan (CEO of Health and Communities of APM). There will also be very special message from Bridie McKim (ABC’s new series, The Heights.)
FREE to attend. RSVPs essential.
Join us after the discussion for the performance of You Know We Belong Together, 7.30pm in the Heath Ledger Theatre. Book at www.bsstc.com.au
Please note this event will be recorded for Black Swan’s podcast. If you have access requirements please email Zoe at email@example.com (i.e. wheelchair, Auslan interpretation).
