This season is wild – think drag queens playing tennis, a three-week live sitcom, joining a sisterhood cult, and a female sexual liberation power ballad.

We explore the world of identity and gender in sports with Court My Crotch – a show that’ll see the theatre turned into a tennis court and a drag queen smashing it out. Let me finish. will see an electrifying collective of contemporary artists come together to get real on what’s it’s like to be a twenty-something female in Australia – a power balled of empowerment and sexual liberation.

Ever thought about joining a cult? You can give it a go with Medusa, a show that asks you to sacrifice your inhibitions and awaken the ancient goddess each night through ritual dance. This show is not for the faint-hearted; we’re tearing out all the seats from the theatre and making the space a safe, sweaty nightclub for the snake-haired goddess and her disciples to worship. Penthouse gives us a glimpse at the other side, a dangerous show that looks at the intersection of masculinity and the unquenchable thirst for power and wealth in the modern age.

Threshold is our first show to hit the stage. It’s an Australian political thriller that is all too believable: think House of Cards meets Nauru detention centre. Malcolm Robertson Foundation award recipient Frieda Lee debuts her work with The Inconsequential Lives of Little Fish – a heartfelt story that brings today’s issues of human trafficking and slavery to the surface.

To end the season – forget about the politics – it’s all about the beer in Frankie’s. A show that will see Perth’s best and brightest performers develop a new episode on the fly each night. Set in a fully-working bar the team will be joined by some very special guests as audiences buy beers from the bar and leave tips in the jar to guide where the episode heads next!

The full August – December 2018 program is comprised of seven new works and a remounted work titled Unveiling: Gay Sex for Endtimes. Tickets and subscriptions are now available.
